Job Description
The purpose of this role is to ensure that the control and instrumentation systems within a facility are functioning at optimal levels, facilitating consistent production outputs and maintaining safety standards. This involves the installation, calibration, maintenance, overhauling and repair of various control systems and instrumentation equipment, which can range from pressure and temperature sensors to complex Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS). By ensuring accurate and reliable instrumentation, the C&I Technician supports the efficient operation of the entire facility, minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills:
- EWSC policies and procedures
- Control and Instrumentation theory and practices
- Networking data
- Programming methods and software
- Safety regulations
- Principles and practices of system troubleshooting
- Operational characteristics of technical equipment and tools
Minimum Requirements:
- A Diploma in Instrumentation Technology, Electronics, or Industrial Automation
- 3 years relevant experience
